Photos taken in August 2001 by Brigitte Fauconier, an Administrator and Office Manager at Knight Piesold. She writes: "We've had a bit of a privileged experience at work recently. Last Friday, we found 2 Spotted Eagle Owls sitting outside our office windows. They are still around today. Of course - very beautiful and attracted a lot of attention with all my colleagues. The one naps during the day, while the other stands guard. Whilst the area we work in used to be full of owls, it is now so built up that one is really very fortunate to see owls like these here. What fascinates people more is that the only time one really sees owls like these are in a zoo or behind a cage. Now we are behind the cages and they are free."
