I'm glad to have found this site - have a screetch owl roosting in my backyard, and needed to know more. This one is juvenile, red phase, and sleeps on one foot in a tropical "tree" next to my house about 7 feet above the patio. He/she lets me do my yard work, and has allowed me to approach within a couple of feet to photogragh - will turn his/her head to follow me, but is not spooked!

I'm sorta disappointed in this web page. I'm looking for information on the endangered Anjouan Scops Owl, but am having problems finding any. I thought out of any website that this one would have something. But found that I couldn't find a thing.

My little girl has become very interested in owls, and I always had something of an interest, however, after finding this treasure, I think we have found something to learn about & love together. Such an organized site-we have enjoyed the image gallery and the sounds-and I will enjoy the reading for myself after she goes to sleep at night. Thank you so much! I will definitely look at the books (esp children's) your have in the Amazon store. This will be a site we can enjoy together!
