I am a photographer from Madison, WI and found your site to be educational and entertaining. I have only a few photos of owls in the area. Saw your site mentioned in Sunset November magazine 2006. I remember in downtown LA years ago in late 1990's I saw a striking white barn owl. It was night & was perched on light pole near Cesar Chavez & New High by Chinatown, looking for the rodents that would pass me while waiting for the Metro. Like an apparition I never saw it again but the rats were still seen less frequently.
