Absolutely love this site. My husband ran into a grounded Great Horned Owl last night. He was in the dark behind the house. The owl sat by a tree, a mighty size, and let us shine the flashlight on him. Absolutely beautiful. But I think we may have disrupted his hunting so we let him be. This website helped us identify him and remember his beauty.

Incredible undertaking! Thank you for all you have done to educate people on these magnificent creatures.
A Calfornia couple recently hosted a live 24/7 webfeed of Barn owls nesting in a box in their backyard (USTREAM.TV). The four-month webfeed covered nesting of the parents through fledging of their four beautiful owlets. Thousands of people were glued to this multi-webcam w/ audio as we watched the hatchings, feedings & flight lessons of Molly & McGee's babies. Through chat room & Social Stream communications, I was directed to the World Owl Hall of Fame and your website. Thank you again for your dedication to these beloved creatures. Owls are a precious gift to our planet.
