Chesnut Owlet ~ Glaucidium castaneum (Taenioglaux castanea)

Introduction

The Chestnut Owlet is a small owl with no ear-tufts. This species is not currently recognised by the International Ornithological Congress, who consider it a sub-species of the African Barred Owlet Glaucidium capense.

Information

Distribution: Northeast Democratic Republic of the Congo and southwest Uganda.
