Etchécopar's Owlet ~ Glaucidium etchecopari (Taenioglaux etchecopari)

Introduction

Etchécopar's Owlet is a small owl with no ear-tufts. It is also known as the Chestnut-barred Owlet. This species is not currently recognised by the International Ornithological Congress, who consider it a sub-species of the African Barred Owlet Glaucidium capense.

Information

Distribution: Liberia, the Ivory Coast and Ghana.

Status: Unknown, probably not rare.
