Introduction

The Manus Boobook is a small to medium-sized owl with no ear-tufts. It is also known as the Admiralty Islands Hawk Owl or the Manus Hawk Owl.

Distribution: Endemic to Manus Island in the Admiralty Islands, north of New Guinea.

Status: Not immediately endangerd, despite its very limited range. Listed as 'Least Concern' by Birdlife International.
