Common Barn Owl - Tyto alba lulu

DNA analysis (as of April 2006) indicates that T. a. lulu is very close to T. a. deliculata from Australia; the genetic distances would not qualify T. a. lulu as a valid subspecies. (M. Wink pers. comm. 27 April 2006).
