Introduction

The Magellanic Horned Owl is a medium-sized to large owl with narrow, pointed ear-tufts. It is also known as the Magellan Horned Owl or the Lesser Horned Owl.

Distribution: Andes of central Peru south to Cape Horne.

Status: Locally common.
