The Peruvian Pygmy Owl is a tiny to very small owl with no ear-tufts. It is also known as the Pacific Pygmy Owl.

Distribution: Western Ecuador through Peru to northern Chile, but confined to the western slope of the Andes.
Status: Uncertain, locally not rare.
