Tasmanian Boobook ~ Ninox leucopsis

Introduction

The Tasmanian Boobook is a medium-sized brown owl with a rounded head and no ear-tufts. This species is not currently recognised by the International Ornithological Congress, who consider it a sub-species of the Morepork Ninox novaeseelandiae.
