A beautiful Snowy Owl photographed at the Jersey shore. The photographer writes "Myself and 2 others witnessed this owl sitting on a post, defend its territory grappling in flight with another snowy and returning to the same general area. Here the snowy was just walking around this post giving up a few photo opportunities before settling in for well-deserved nap. It was a great experience to find this bird, watch it interact with another bird and then settle in for a nap. As an amateur wildlife photographer it a great feeling to leave your subject sleeping and knowing you did it right. This photo was taken on Jan 12, 2019.
